My teaching philosophy
As a teacher I believe all my students have a unique learning needs and goals. My role is to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that builds on their existing knowledge and experience. I will continue to develop professionally and work with colleagues, so that my students can benefit from research-informed teaching practices proven to work.
Teaching experience
I have taught English in Russia, Ireland and Australia, to children, teenagers and adults in various settings. These include primary and secondary schools, universities, private language schools, and English language programs for migrants. I’ve also run professional development sessions for English language teachers, and lectured on postgraduate TESOL programs at Macquarie University and at the University of Sydney, Australia. At present, I work as a lecturer at the School of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Maynooth University in Ireland.
